Home Made Organic Natural Soap

I have been making my own soap for 3 years now. It has been fun experimenting with my own ingredients and trying new exciting products. Some of my favorite have been Moringa Oil from Africa, Green Tea, Roship seeds from the garden and stinging nettles obviously cooked first.

I have had psoriasis all my life, I stopped using the doctors creams and lotions when I was 14, I have never been back to them. I always cared about what I was using on my skin and always bought natural products online, although i have found in recent years the 'natural' has been overridden in many commercial shops. Since making the choices and change to my personal care my Psoriasis has not come back quite as bad since.

I also make my own washing powder, dishwasher tablets and my own toothpaste. When i go to a supermarket the only thing I find myself buying from the beauty and cleaning isles is toilet roll. I have also decided that what is put down our drains daily is having an impact on our waters, packaging is becoming ridiculous and so, i am playing my part on the swing with nature and care.

I make my Soaps mainly from coconut oil, but alone this does not make up a soap. It takes 6 weeks for a bar to cure in the process of Saponification, where the small lye content reacts with the 2 types of fat and the chemical reaction creates the lather we know as soap. I use no coloring's (why would I need to)? Preservatives are grapefruit seed extract and Orris root powder, no additives needed thankfully. Natural essential oils, flowers, fruits and herbs carry the smell and sensations for using these soaps to another level. I no longer need to use moisturizer as the content of the oils in the soap are enough to balance my natural levels of PH.

Well I have built this little website to see if I can sell some of my soaps, I have been giving them away for so long now i feel that the feedback is good enough and the advice is to try, I never know.

Other ingredients in my soaps are other than coconut oil, shear butter, mango butter, olive oil, safflower Oil, rapeseed oil, avocado oil, moringa oil and powder, french clay, green tea, essential oils, oriis powder, grapefruit seed extract, lavender leaf, sea salt and black pepper, clove, chocolate, turmeric and rose hip, nettles, dandelion root and flowers to mention just a few.

I will over the next months be adding simple soap types to the website, with a specification to their quality hope you enjoy visiting and looking.
